Petr Drulák is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague and the coordinator of its reOPEN centre for socially engaged dialogue on pressing political issues in Central Europe, which has been launched in cooperation with the Czech Academy of Sciences. He previously served as the Institute of International Relations’s director prior to becoming First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and later serving as the country’s ambassador to Paris. He has published on subjects ranging from Czech foreign policy, Central and Eastern European Politics, the role of metaphors in international politics to, more recently, the future of left, advocating for what he calls conservative socialism.
